Home away from home…
The Tebogo Kgobokoe Arts Academy offers Boarding facilities from Grade 4 up to Grade 12 situated on our Study Centre premises. The facilities are secure, clean and designed to offer quality care for the students.
The aim of Boarding at the TKAA is to provide a safe and secure environment for the personal and academic development of each boarding student. The ethos aims to reflect, as far as is possible in a communal environment, the best values of family life. The Boarding experience encourages tolerance, respect for others, kindness, spiritual and moral awareness and self-discipline. It develops independence and the strength and ability of the individual to function as part of a team.
Care is taken to ensure a similar ethos and atmosphere across the Boarding Houses, whilst at the same time maintaining the individual character of each House and ensuring a progression of responsibilities and privileges commensurate with the different age groups. Visiting days are on the last Saturday of every month were learners get to spend the day with family and friends on the Study Centre premises. Should any competition fall on such a weekend.
Both the Academic and Dance uniform are available at the Uniform Shop. Full lists of required uniforms are available from the uniform booklet. It is the responsibility of the student to have a clean appearance at all times. Lost items are sent at the Lost and Found room and keys are found at the Housekeeping manager. Students should present themselves in appropriate dress code at all times as set out on the uniform booklet.
